What is the difference between a luxator and an elevator?
A luxator features a sharper, thinner blade that severs the periodontal ligament with a gentle pushing
motion, while an elevator uses controlled leverage and rotation to release the ligament fibres and loosen
the tooth. Both are used in veterinary tooth extraction; the choice depends on technique and tooth type.
