What size winged elevator should I use for cats and small dogs?
For cats and small dogs, a 2 mm or 3 mm winged elevator is typically recommended. A 4 mm elevator suits small
to medium dogs. The 5 mm and 6 mm sizes are better suited to medium to large dogs. The iM3 Sapphira Winged
Elevator is available in 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm and 6 mm blade widths.
What is the difference between XS and S winged elevators?
Both feature the same stainless steel blade and the same handle – the difference is shaft length, matched to
your hand size. The XS suits smaller hands, placing the fingertip at the working end for maximum control. Larger
hands need the longer S shaft to achieve the same fingertip placement and control.
